    1. An extraordinarily large book that has the bold claim of being the only book you will need to be inspired and empowered to start up your own business. The claim is a bit far-fetched but it can still be a good resource.Written for those based in the United States, it certainly does try and take you through the whole A to Z of starting a business. It cannot be everything to everyone but it has a reasonable stab at covering all of the bases and, if nothing else, acts as a great jumping off point to [...]

    2. Publication Date: January 13, 2015 Title: Start Your Own Business, 6th Edition – The Staff of Entrepreneur Media –– 766 Pages –Laura Maw – 978-1599185569– Electronic ARC –5 StarsI really wished I had a book like this when I started my business some twenty plus years ago. I highly recommend his book to any small business owner or anyone considering starting a business. This title is full of valuable information. Some of it you may already know, but I guarantee readers will find some [...]

    3. Extremely comprehensive and useful! All the topics are explored at a high level for the absolute beginner. There are plenty of useful resources for additional research and this is a great book for discovering what you don't know you don't know. The section on technology seems too rudimentary and outdated (no mention of fibre optics, and some of the tech recommendation is a bit behind). Never the less, love this as a reference book.

    4. Most of the information covered was basic and what I learned in uni but it's a good book for those who don't have business degrees.

    5. Fantastic book about starting and running a business. The style is fast and lightweight, not bogged down by dry explanations or business jargon. This book contains a lot of information for anyone interested in starting or running a business, along with tips and additional resources. I can see why my professor of my Management class recommended this book so highly and why it has remained so popular through the years. I never felt like I was reading a textbook; it felt more like I was reading a qu [...]

    6. Though I believe this has more information for this wanting to start brick and motor stores, this book is very extensive and provides a lot of valuable tips for anyone wanting to start a business

    7. Very broad, written for Americans, doesn't cover digital economy. Has everything a beginner need. Just be aware of the shallow depth.Recommended by Roberto Blake.

    8. Wide scope, but limited depth. Good, but brief, introduction to the various topics that a new business owner will need to know. I found it to be of limited use, but honestly would have rated it higher if I had read it first. You will need to look elsewhere if what you really need is a more detailed self-help guide.

    9. Our family is in the process of starting up a business and we have been doing a lot of research. This book seems to be full of great business tips that will be a big plus as we move forward in our start-up plans. I recommend this book as one of many books you will need to make a sound decision in your business adventure.

    10. This is an essential guide to starting your own business. It's full of resources and a step by step guide to knowing just about everything you need to know from making the decision to jump in to how to choosing the right location. Go for it!

    11. Encyclopedic primer on starting your own business. It might just scare you off from an entrepreneurial endeavor after reading it. It also again reminds us of how ubiquitous the government has become in our lives.
