Welcome

This website provides data on drug-related deaths as collated by the Directorate of Public Health and Health Policy, NHS Lothian, and reported to the National Database of Drug-related Deaths.

Drug-related deaths in Lothian are reviewed by multi-agency teams based in the treatment centres/ recovery hubs across the region. This website provides information on the case review process and the work of the groups.

Whilst what is reported on this website is mainly statistical data, it is important to remember that behind each case was a person with their own story. Each death will have affected a great number of people, including those involved in their care. Therefore this site links to sources of support for people coping with the death of a loved one, and alsosignposts resources for those currently living with problem dug use.

Welcome to our website. I hope you find it helpful.
